Maine State Police are asking for help locating a man who was caught on camera trying to buy guns and ammunition from local streamers.
According to a police news release, a video taken Sunday night shows a man walking into a stream of streams near the town of Middletown and purchasing several rounds of ammunition from a man named Jeff.
The video then shows Jeff asking another man to go to his home to buy some ammunition, and then walk out the front door.
Jeff said he was told that he needed to come to his house and wait in line.
“I’m waiting outside for my husband to come out, and my wife is waiting outside,” Jeff said.
“I just want to get the hell out of here.
The video was posted on YouTube, where it gained more than 4 million views.
In a statement, the Maine State Patrol said that the man was arrested on Wednesday, May 24.
He was charged with three counts of trafficking in a firearm and one count of making a false statement to police.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing, and the Maine Bureau of Criminal Investigation is also assisting with the investigation.
