The first day is scheduled for April 8, with a second day scheduled for May 5.
The festival begins with a daylong dance and food truck competition.
The Manketape Festival is an annual festival celebrating the Mankitoi Falls.
The event is held in the town of Mankatu, about 30 miles north of Manking.
A total of 18,000 people attended the Manking festival last year.
It was one of the largest festivals in the country.
Mankato officials are working with the state’s tourism office and other partners to create a tourism hub in the village.
They are also working on a plan to create an urban-oriented festival experience that will include an indoor and outdoor arena, a children’s area and a playground.
