The main stream, an online TV channel that airs live and repeats programming, has long been a hotbed of activity.
But the channel is struggling to stay relevant in an industry that’s increasingly saturated with cable and satellite channels, and it has been losing subscribers.
NBC has struggled to maintain its online presence despite airing several hours of original programming each week.
But this week, the network is expected to begin airing new episodes of its popular “The Voice” and “The View,” which are seen as a way to revive its online appeal.
A new digital platform, Hulu, is also expected to offer an alternative to NBC.
That service, which launched earlier this year, offers viewers a variety of entertainment options, including live sports, news and entertainment, on-demand and on-screen streaming video and podcasts.
NBC is currently in talks to sell Hulu for $85 billion.
